खामोश रात

 

रात खामोश है, चाँद मदहोश है!

तारों के आगोश में, हमें न होंश है! 

झिलमिलाती निशा, सहलाती फिजा!
घुंघरू की तरह, आ थिरकलें ज़रा! 

मन मचल जाने दे, डर पिघल जाने दे!
प्रहर के इस नीर में, अश्क घुल जाने दे!

टूटा तारा कहीं, हमने मांगी दुआ!
लम्हा मिले यही, फिर से सोलें ज़रा!
